Adele announced that she has decided to cancel the second part of her concert tour in Phoenix, Arizona. Through an Instagram video posted a short while ago, the "Hello" singer explained that she was too sick to do the performance.
The singer was originally scheduled to perform in Phoenix's Talking Stick Resort Arena today for the Adele Live 2016 Tour, which was supposed to be the follow-up to last night's performance at the same venue.
In a video she posted on her Instagram account, Adele admitted that she has been battling a cold for a couple of days now. Unfortunately, her condition grew worse after last night's concert. In the video, Adele sounded very sick as she explained the reason behind the show's cancellation.
"Hello everyone, specifically everyone in Phoenix, Arizona," the singer said in the video. "I can't do my show tonight, my second show here. I'm really, really sorry. I've had a cold for a couple of days, and I've been pushing through it."
"I did my show last night, and I loved it," Adele added. "But I pushed too hard and my cold has gotten the better of me. And, as you can hear, even if I did the show, it wouldn't be very good."
While apologizing to her fans, the British artist noted that she will reschedule the show at a later date. For now though, there are not details yet as to when the second show in Phoenix will place.
Tickets for the Aug. 17 show were already sold out but according to entertainment company Live Nation, fans should hold onto their passes and wait for further updates. Refunds are also available at point of purchase, AZ Central reported.
