Green Day is set to tour clubs in major North American cities this fall. Following their club tour, the band will be playing arena dates in Europe. Both are in support of their 12th album, Revolution Radio, which is slated for release on Oct. 7.
The North American club shows begin on Sept. 20 in St. Louis and runs through Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, Columbus, Sayreville, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, New York, Los Angeles and Berkeley. Tickets will go on sale for Idiot Nation members this Wednesday (Sept. 7) and general admission sales will begin on Friday (Sept. 9). More details can be found here.
Green Day reached the top of the Mainstream Rock Charts last week with the lead single from Revolution Radio, “Bang Bang.”
Green Day have done a string of interviews leading up to the release of their album and bassist Mike Dirnt gave his thoughts on gun control to British rock magazine Kerrang! via NME.
"My kids are going to grow up seeing things that I never saw, like Mixed Martial Arts. When that first came out, people were like 'Oh f**k, that's f***king violent.' And now they play it on TV in restaurants. I'm supposed to eat and watch this sh*t wherever I go? Nothing makes me hungrier than watching two guys in weenie bikinis kicking the sh*t out of each other."
