During the Missouri stop of her Formation World Tour, Beyoncé briefly stopped her show for the surprise proposal of her backup dancer John Silver to dance captain Ashley Everett.
The unforgettable moment happened just after Beyoncé performed "Single Ladies" with Everett as one of her dancers. Less than halfway into the song, the singer stopped dancing and eventually asked the stage crew to pause the background music.
Silver then went onstage and took Everett by her hand. As Silver was talking to Everett in front of Beyoncé's screaming fans, the singer and her other backup dancer stepped back to allow the couple to have their moment, according to Time.
"She's my queen, so I feel like it's only right to come out here in my hometown," Silver said during his proposal.
The backup dancer then dropped to one knee before asking Everett to marry him. After she said "yes," Beyoncé approached the couple and congratulated them.
"Now let's see you do the choreography after that," the singer jokingly told Everett.
After the proposal, Beyoncé and Everett continued their "Single Ladies" performance with the latter sporting a new engagement ring on her finger.
Following the concert, Everett took to Instagram to share pictures of her time with Beyoncé onstage and Silver's proposal.
"Thank you to everyone who helped make it so epic and iconic, and to everyone who supports us and congratulated us," she posted.
