Keyshia Cole Says L.A. Reid "Feeling" New Music

Keyshia Cole's new independent album may not be ready for official release as of yet but, she did want everyone to know that all "the right people" who have heard the music, like L.A. Reid, have given their official seal of approval.

Keyshia Cole has been in the process of readying a new independent project since releasing her 2014 final Interscope album Point of No Return.

Though the "Heaven Sent" singer has spoken in the past about plans to ignite this new independent venture, which according to Rap Up was heavily influenced by Prince, not much has been heard or spoken of about the album's progression. But, thanks to Cole's Instagram, fans now know music mogul L.A. Reid has heard a little something from the project and according to Cole, he is "feeling it."

The 34-year-old Oakland native expressed how she took her time in creating the new music to ensure everything was tight and right before taking a meeting with one half of the LaFace Records music legend. The results were all good from "all the right people," including Doug Morris, CEO of Sony Music Entertainment who Cole credited for arranging the meeting.

There is no way of telling which direction the BET The Way It Is reality star decided to steer her creativity with this project but, what we do know is she's been in the studio "... just recording and recording," as she expressed in her 2015 interview with Rap Up.

During that interview Cole also revealed how she wasn't too certain on whether or not she wanted the album to be fun, heartfelt, or an album full of upbeat energy, but what she was certain of was who she wanted to work with - and luckily she got what she wanted. "I want to work with Chris Brown - finally," revealed the "Trust And Believe" singer. "I want to work with Wiz Khalifa. And I like Big Sean," she continued.

There's no evidence to suggest she got her wish on a collaboration with Brown or Big Sean but, an Instagram post suggest that she did accomplish some studio time with the "Black And Yellow" artist and it was "lit."

Studio was LIT last night.  A photo posted by Keyshia Cole (@keyshiacole) on Sep 4, 2016 at 3:57pm PDT

All fans can do now is just wait for the official release.
