Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival To Celebrate 10th Anniversary

Where Brooklyn at?

New York City's famed hip-hop cultural event is back with some big things in store as the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.

This year's festival includes performances by Raekwon the Chef of Wu-Tang Clan, Jay Electronica, CJ Fly of Pro Era and Cyhi the Prince.

In addition to performances, the festival will include other audience activities such as panel discussions, exhibitions, parties, an award show and a family-friendly block party.

The festivities kick off Wednesday, July 9th and last through Saturday, July 12th.

In the past, the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival has presented the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Black Thought of The Roots and Big Daddy Kane.

Back in 2011, BHF broke attendance records with over 20,000 attendees. Fans came out in packs for Performance Day under the Brooklyn Bridge for "Q-Tip & Friends."

Alongside Q-Tip were performances by Kendrick Lamar, Homeboy Sandman, M.O.P., Kanye West, Busta Rhymes and Monie Love.

The following year, the "Busta Rhymes & Friends" set shut the show down, literally.

Busta collaborated on stage with Spliff Star and Buckshot of Black Moon, Smif -N-Wessun, Lil' Fame of M.O.P., Slick Rick and Reek Da Villian.

The performance also included a Leaders Of The New School reunion with Charlie Brown and Dinco D.

Taking all of that into consideration, we're sure this year's Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival will not disappoint.
