Musician Phil Collins has had a history of making headlines, and his daughter Lily Collins appears to be walking the same line. Now, a third member of the Collins family can join the crew –– but not exactly in the same way.
Simon Collins, son of famed Genesis drummer / vocalist and solo artist Phil Collins, has been arrested on charges of possession and supply of illegal narcotics. The 37-year-old was taken into custody over the weekend in Wiltshire, England, and is now out on bail.
A spokesperson for the Wiltshire Police told PEOPLE Magazine, "A 37-year-old man from the town of Devizes has been arrested for being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and for possession of a Class B controlled drug. The bail will run until the end of August."
E! News confirms that the United Kingdom's Misuse of Drug Act states Class A substances as cocaine, psychedelics and opioids. For example: heroin and oxycodone. Class B substances consist of marijuana, amphetamines and sedatives.
Much like his father, Simon is also a musician. He is the drummer for the band Sound of Contact, who released their debut album Dimensionaut just last year. Simon made his stage debut at the age of 12 when he was invited onstage by his father to play during one of his shows.
Simon is Lily's half-brother and the son of Andrea Bertorelli, the first wife of Phil Collins. The two were married from 1975-1980.
Representatives of Phil Collins have been contacted but have yet to release a statement on the matter.
