Run The Jewels "Talk To Me": First 'RJ3' Single Released For Adult Swim Singles

On the two-year anniversary of RTJ2, Run The Jewels have released the first single from their highly anticipated third studio album Run The Jewels 3, RTJ3. Titled "Talk To Me," the new song is being released as part of the Adult Swim Singles program that gives out free music by artists from all genres.

The aggressive and politically charged song finds El-P and Killer Mike in fine form taking on the world with deft wordplay and the fearlessness one expects from these two.

Killer Mike has been quite vocal about his political views, supporting Bernie Sanders in the 2016 political election, supporting black business and fighting for social equality across the county. That social activism unsurprisingly remains in "Talk To Me."

At the end of his first verse he gets real about the how he is disadvantaged living in the United States as a black man.

"Born black, that's dead on arrival / My job is to fight for survival / In spite of these all lives matter ass white folk."

El-P comes out the gates in the second verse with bravado and swagger.

"Brave men didn't die face down in the Vietnam mud so I could not style on you / I didn't walk uphill both ways to the booth and back to not wile on you / You think baby Jesus killed Hitler just so I'd whisper?," he raps.

El-P produced "Talk To Me" with Little Shalimar and Wilder Zoby helping on the co-production.
