The AMAs are about three weeks away and they are loading up on performers. The 2016 American Music Awards has added six new artists to their roster including Fifth Harmony, The Chainsmokers, Shakira and Halsey, who will be performing "Closer" with The DJ duo. They will join previously announced acts in Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and others.
Also included in the new announcement today are Carlos Vives and James Bay.

The Chainsmokers are hoping to redeem themselves after their lackluster performance of "Closer" at the MTV VMAs where they did not sound good and the production was boring for a song with that energy.
