Azealia Banks fell apart during a recent interview with Access Hollywood on the alleged Russell Crowe assault. The “212” rapper accused the Oscar-winning actor of spitting on her and calling her the n-word before booting her from the party on Oct. 15. Banks was the guest of Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and has said that she is planning to press charges against Crowe.
“I’m just like really, really humiliated,” Banks said to Access Hollywood before she dissolved into tears.
“Because every time something like this happens, I’m always like being blamed for wanting this kind of attention. Like who the f**k wants to tell somebody they got spat on? You know, it’s humiliating.” Banks is claiming that Crowe also insulted her career in the music industry.
RZA did not back Banks up on the incident and posted to Facebook with his thoughts, writing, “Azealia threaten to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason. Russell blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite.”
Unfortunately for all those involved, the hotel where the party took place was not able to provide security footage of the incident because there were no hallway cameras. Crowe has vehemently denied Bank’s allegations against him.
The rapper is also reportedly backing out of her record deal with RZA because he did not support her version of the story.
TMZ reported that RZA claims Banks was the one using the n-word at the party and is “full of it.”
It has yet to be revealed whether Banks is still planning to appear in his music drama Coco, where she was slated to act alongside Jill Scott and Common.
