Sadly, the 2016 Soul Train Weekend and Awards Show have come to an end. Luckily, for those who couldn't be in attendance this year for the ceremony and red carpet, you still have an opportunity to watch how it all went down when BET airs the show later this month.
Until then, here are a few show highlights and legendary performance details to make sure you don't miss it when it airs.
The Centric Presents Soul Train Awards took place on Sunday, Nov. 6, at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The production began filming at about 7 p.m. (PST) Sunday night but, was preceded by the outdoor pre-show event with featured artist Lloyd, who performed his latest single "Tru," and it was a tru crowd pleaser.
Upon the conclusion of the pre-show, a host of music artists, actors and reality TV personalities began flooding the red carpet, wearing some of the most fashion forward ensembles and hairstyles.
MC Lyte, India Arie, Draya Michele, Lalah Hathaway, Elise Neal and Keke Wyatt are just a few of the women who captured the spotlight on the red carpet and on the BET sponsor platform for Creme Of Nature, to dish on their hair care regime.
Other entertainers in attendance for the Red Carpet and Awards show included Teyana Taylor, featured in Kanye West's "Fade" video, nominated for "Video of the Year."
New Edition original members Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Mike Bivins and Ron DeVoe were also in attendance on the red carpet and during the show. The NE members, along with the cast of the BET New Edition miniseries presented the award for the "Centric Certified" catergory.
Nominated for "Centric Certified" were Musiq Soulchild, Bilal, Hathaway, Anderson .Paak and "I Want You" singers After 7.
Though none of the Centric Certified nominees performed at the this year's award show, other great soul singers took the Soul Train stage to belt out some memorable live performances.
Eric Benet performed his latest single "Sunshine" which was met by an audience standing ovation upon its completion.
A duet performance with host Erykah Badu and India Arie encouraged the audience to "Continue to Breathe," while another duet performance featuring Badu and D.R.A.M. presented an intimate conversation on the sofa about "WiFi".
