If you can't catch Beyoncé and Jay Z 'On The Run' this summer, worry not... HBO has got your back. Yesterday (July 10), it was announced that the Carters will be bringing their live extravaganza to television screens later this year.
According to USA Today, the premium cable network will be taping Beyoncé and Jay Z's Sept. 12 and 13 shows in Paris for the purposes of bringing them to American viewers' living rooms.
The co-headlining On The Run Tour kicked off June 25 in Miami to massive critical acclaim. Interweaving their individual hits and collaborative tracks over the years, Beyoncé and Jay Z's extensive setlist includes over 40 of their biggest hits. There's also some intimate family footage shown during the concert, giving an inside peek at the private couple's personal life.
"This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO," said program chief of HBO Michael Lombardo in a statement.
The planned televised On The Run Tour special is by no means the first time Beyoncé and Jay Z have teamed up with HBO. Last year, Beyoncé produced a documentary Life Is But A Dream, which aired on the network and Jay Z premiered his extended music video Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film on HBO, too.
This won't even be the first time HBO aired live concert footage from one of the Carters. Currently, it's running the Beyoncé video series Beyoncé: X10 featuring one-off performances from her The Mrs. Carter World Tour. Beyoncé: X10 airs every Sunday before the final season of True Blood.
