Tove Lo Releases Tempestuous New Music Video for "True Disaster" from 'Ladywood' Album

Tove Lo: True Disaster

“True Disaster” counts as the second single from the album, and the album itself debuted in the Top 10 albums chart. The Swedish pop star also recently surpassed the 1 billion-stream plateau on Spotify.

The single was one of five tracks from the album featured in her dramatic short film Fairy Dust, which also includes “Influence,” “Lady Wood,” “cool girl,” and “Vibes.” Fairy Dust was actually pulled from YouTube for explicit content and then reinstated hours later.

Lady Wood counts as her follow-up 2014 album, Queen of the Clouds, which included hits “Habits (Stay High),” and “Talking Body.” The singer was also a featured collaborator on “Close” by Nick Jonas, “Fun” by Coldplay, “Desire” by Years & Years, “Freak Of Nature,” by Broods and “Heroes” by Alesso before her sophomore album was released.

In the “True Disaster” music video we see the singer exiting a car and stalking through the streets as it burns. “I know I’m gonna get hurt,” she croons and the dimly lit music video does nothing to dissuade this notion.

Tove Lo is also slated to embark on her first North American tour dates in 2017. Dubbed the Lady Wood Tour, it runs through 11 cities in the U.S. and Canada. The tour opens Feb. 6 at Showbox SoDo in Seattle and ends at 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. on Feb. 24.

It will also run through Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. Tickets can be purchased at her official artist website.
