A year after releasing his There's A Lot Going On EP, Vic Mensa is back with another full EP, The Manuscript. The EP features tracks such as "Almost There," "OMG," "Rage," and "Rollin' Like A Stoner." The four track work features Pharrell, Pusha T and Mr.Hudson.
The Roc nation signee received a lot of positive feedback for his last year. XXL commended him on his ability to get different ideas across in a short period of time. They stated, "The best part about There's A Lot Going On is its creative brevity. As long winded as Vic can get on certain songs, he gets his point across over a short period of time. The project manages to pack a lot of different ideas, sounds and vibes into one small package that doesn't run much over half an hour."
Pharrell, who serves as a producer on this EP, has also been keeping busy. Today, he released a single called, "Yellow Light." The track will be featured on the film, Despicable Me 3's Soundtrack. The film is set to release June 20. Pharrell is known for recording hit songs for Despicable Me's soundtracks. "Happy" was made for the film's soundtrack back in 2013 and has made a powerful impact on Pharrell's career since.
Pusha T also has a few things up his sleeve. Kanye West rapper has been getting a visit from a Pusha T while in Wyoming to help with his creative process. A source told Page Six, "Pusha T has been visiting. He inspires Kanye to write. Kanye's trying to find his creative voice again, and he has people there to help him get, and stay, on track. He's still a little off and is trying to get himself back."
