Selena Gomez is back and better than ever. Today, she released her visuals for "Bad Liar" music video. The music video is directed by Jesse Peretz. In the visual, Gomez plays a high-school student, principal and mom. One thing that is commendable about the video is Gomez's timeless beauty. The video ends with a preview of "Fetish" as Gomez is seen dazing into the camera.
The Revival artist had a stellar tour last year which grossed over $35 million. More recently, Gomez has been working on Netflix's new show, 13 Reasons Why, as a executive producer. The show is about a high school student who commits suicide. Before she dies, she records the reasons/people who made her feel as if she had no other choice. The show, which has been renewed for another season, is something that Gomez is extremely passionate about. Billboard reported that Gomez said, "It's going to come no matter what. It's not an easy subject to talk about. But I'm very fortunate with how it's doing." Gomez also explained to E! News that this is a project that she's wanted to work on for a long time because of the message. She said, "I just wanted it to come across in a way that kids would be frightened, but confused, and in a way that they would talk about it because it's something that's happening all the time"
The "Hands To Myself" artist has always been very vocal about mental health. Last year, she reportedly checked herself into rehab seeking professional help for depression and anxiety attacks. The 24-year-old singer cancelled her Revival tour after publicly telling the world that she has had a long battle with lupus.
Gomez has always fought to argue that as much as she loves her music, she wants to be healthy first. The "Good For You" singer has been known to take breaks in between albums for health purposes. Gomez took a two year break between the release of Revival (2015) and her freshman solo album, Stars Dance (2013).
