After announcing the release of his upcoming album, Jay-Z decided to drop another bombshell as well. He will be going on tour this fall to promote his upcoming LP, 4:44. Jay-Z's last tour was three years ago with Beyoncé, On The Run Tour.
The news comes shortly after he released a trailer which had a snippet of his new song, "Adnis." The lyrics to the song goes as followed, "Letter to my dad that I never wrote. Speeches I prepared that I never spoke. Words on a paper that I never read, proses never penned, they stayed in my head." An insider reported to PageSix that there is in fact an upcoming tour. The insider said, "There is a tour to follow. It was originally planned for summer but has been moved to fall because of the kids. You usually tour within a month or so of the album," which was promoted with mysterious "4:44" signs around town."
Damian Marley told Billboard that he was in the studio with Hov. He said, "We did some work in the studio recently and he wanted to come to Jamaica to get a tour of the place. He's been to Jamaica before, but never Kingston. So he wanted to come down to Kingston and asked us if we could have been there to show him around and give him a tour musically, in terms of our history in Kingston."
He also admitted to working on other stuff with the Magna Carta.. Holy Grail artist. Marley said, "Well, I did some work with him for some stuff that he's working on. I'm not really sure of the details of his project in that sense, but we worked on some music together. I've been a fan of his music since he came out. We've never done any musical work together. So that was a joy to finally work together musically."
Vic Mensa and Damian Marley are not the only ones who have confirmed working with Jay Z. Swizz Beatz previously uploaded a photo to Instagram of him and the "On To The Next One" rapper where he captioned, "Album ModeZone."
Jay's had a busy month as he was recently inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and reportedly just had the birth of his twins with wife Beyoncé.
