Boys Noize has put his own spin on a Danny Brown fan favorite.
The German DJ/producer made the track his own adding his percussive touch to Danny Brown's single "Smokin' & Drinkin'" with snare-driven breakbeats and minimal electro pulses.
"Smokin' & Drinkin'" made its on-air debut July 11 on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show.
Boys Noize's mix is one of the four mixes featured on Fool's Gold's "Smokin' & Drinkin'" remix EP. The remix package will feature cuts by Jack Beats, TroyBoi and DJ Sliink.
According to Billboard, Fool's Gold will release a 4-song 'Smokin' & Drinkin' remix EP digitally on July 22.
It will be available in 12" picture disc later this year.
In addition to their EP, A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs' Fool's Gold label imprint is also gearing up for its "Day Off" concert series.
As previously reported, the New York edition of "Day Off" will take place September 1 in Brooklyn. This year's headliners include Danny Brown, French Montana, The LOX, Yung Gleesh, AraabMuzik, and many more.
After New York, the concert series will also stop in Toronto on September 6, Los Angeles on October 12, Atlanta on November 1 and Miami on December 7.
No word yet on who will headline the other stops.
Last year, "Day Off" took place in four cities: New York, Los Angeles, Boulder and Miami.
A$AP Ferg, DJ A-Trak, Just Blaze, Travi$ Scott, Action Bronson, Killer Mike, Duck Sauce, Casey Veggies, Trick Daddy and Migos were among those who performed.
