TLC is the trio formed in Atlanta that consisted of Tionne "T-Boz Watkins," Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. Together, these girls helped influence so much amazing music starting in 1990. In fact, TLC is the best-selling female group with over 65 million records sold around the world! Including today's album they are responsible for 5 studio albums. The girls are responsible for so many classic anthems like "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs," "Unpretty," "Creep" and so much more.
Back in 2002 the group, and the whole world, was hit with a massive tragedy. This all occurred on April 25th 2002 when Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was killed in a car crash in Honduras filming a documentary. Heartbroken and extremely torn, the girls decided to complete their fourth album '3D.' They also decided that after the release of the album TLC would retire, but the girl did eventually decide to continue TLC as a duo.
Fast forward 13 years after TLC's last album '3D,' the girls broke their silence back on January 19th 2015 by announcing that they wanted to release their fifth and final album with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign. They wanted to achieve the goal of $150,000 and in less than 2 days they did so with the thanks of some celebs like Katy Perry, Soulja Boy, Justin Timberlake and more.
Fast forward another two and a half years and we have reached today. Today is a great and sad day as TLC's last album 'TLC' has finally arrived. So check out their beautiful 12 track album, which even features Snoop Dogg, below and grab the download via iTunes right here.
