Chester Bennington committed suicide today, according to TMZ.
The singer, 41, hanged himself at his private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County this morning.
Chester is leaving behind a wife and 6 children.
Bennington suffered depression related to a troubled past. He was abused as a child by an older male and struggled as an adult with drugs and alcohol problems.
The cause of death is still not confirmed.
