'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Episode 4 Recap: Epic Battle & Overdue Family Reunion

The “Game of Thrones” Season 7 Episode 4 that aired on Sunday ended a rather controversial week after the episode was leaked online before it’s official air date. Loyal fans who waited patiently and did not give-in to watching the leaked copy were rewarded with a visual feast. A major part of the episode titled “The Spoils of War” featured various alliances and tense reunions.

Jon Snow, the newly proclaimed King of the North, was seen working on his alliance with Daenerys in order to prevent the White Walkers and the army of the dead from invading the Realm. He was in Dragonstone and was working to obtain the mining rights for the Dragonglass.

Meanwhile, Daenerys tried hard to convince Jon Snow to put his pride aside as a condition to having an alliance with him. This would put Jon Snow in a big dilemma since if he gives in, he may lose the respect of his people from the North. However, if he does not, the Realm will e left with no chance against the invaders.

Jon Snow’s decision on the matter was not revealed in the latest “Game of Thrones” Season 7 episode. The decision and his somewhat fragile alliance with Daenerys will have a huge impact on the fate of the entire Westeros. Meanwhile, Cersei Lannister is trying to form her own alliance with the Iron Bank of Braavos.

Up North, grown up Sansa, Bran and Arya are at the center of the long-overdue House of Stark reunion according to Metro UK. The clan has gone through a lot of troubles to be where they are now, possibly the strongest in the Realm. Even Jon Snow is also a Stark to his very core despite his name.

Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” Season 7 episode also featured the first real battle between Daenerys and Cersei. Viewers were treated to a spectacular clash that fulfilled the promise of last season’s finale. Jamie Lannister paid the price for his brave yet foolhardy charge on Daenerys reports Entertainment Weekly.

Bronn was able to save him from being incinerated but his fate remains uncertain. His army, however, was turned into ashes by the dragons right before his eyes. If Jamie survives, will he have a change of heart that will further cause a division with his sister? Find out in the next episodes of “Game of Thrones” Season 7, Sundays, on HBO.
