Dave Matthews Band Concert In Hartford Leads To Six Arrests, Police Issue Underage Drinking Citations, Forty-Five Concertgoers Hospitalized

While the Dave Matthews Band is notoriously a peace-loving group with no harmful intentions of any kind, it appears law enforcement found reason to create a little chaos this past weekend at the band's shows in Hartford, Connecticut. Reports state that police arrested six people and gave out about 70 citations for underage drinking.

The two concerts occurred on Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12. On the former night, authorities arrested one person and issued 25 summonses for underage drinking. On Saturday, five arrests were made alongside 45 citations –– again for underage drinking.

Among those, the concert on Friday night saw 17 people transported to the hospital, including eight intoxicated minors. Saturday, of the 28 fans hospitalized, 13 were minors. Naturally, it's safe to say the band had nothing to do with any of the unfortunate occurrences.

Friday's show had 11,916 people in attendance while Saturday's crowd was an astounding 21,574.

The slew of drunken DMB fans isn't the first time the group has made headlines for their 2014 summer tour. Back in early June, over a dozen people were turned away from a show after purchasing fraudulent tickets from Craigslist.

Despite the negative news, the group has been putting on perhaps some of their greatest performances to date, all because of the beloved #DMB2Sets, which begins each and every show with a smaller, intimate acoustic set from the whole band, followed by their normal, near flawless full performance afterwards.

Take a look at the below fan-footage of #DMB2Sets of the group performing "Stolen Away On 55th & 3rd" from their album Stand Up.
