Justin Bieber wants to be friends with his ex; so far, that is his latest single's message when it was released on August 17. The "Sorry" hit maker may have prematurely ended his Purpose World Tour due to fatigue but he never stops to surprise his fans when he teased the cover of "Friends" on his Twitter account. And now that it is out, there are still no details from Bieber if this song is just a single or a part of a bigger project to come.
The song has a taste of BloodPop's electro-pop style in the chorus giving it a unique tune and a catchy line on how to be friendly with ex-girlfriends. Based on a report from Variety, "Friends" is the official debut single of BloodPop while for Bieber, it will be an addition to his other top charters for this week. Despite canceling his tours, his remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" is still on the No. 1 spot for 14 weeks along with collaboration with DJ Khaled "I'm The One."
BloodPop has been with Justin Bieber on previous projects, producing numerous songs on his recent album "Purpose" in 2015 like "I'll Show You", "Mark My Words" and "Children." Based on a report from Forbes, BloodPop has been in the industry as he collaborates with Madonna in "Devil Pray" and "Iconic", Britney Spears for "Better" and Lady Gaga as a major co-producer for her No. 1 album "Joanne." Even co-writers Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter have a reputation to make hit songs for Selena Gomez, Gwen Stefani, and Linkin Park.
Justin Bieber is no doubt a total performer and a great artist of his time, as he tops Billboard charts and doing 154 performances in two years time, considering the tough task he must do to entertain his fans. But that's not all just for entertainment as his Purpose World Tour has earned more than $250 million in ticket sales in a span of 16 months.
