The former member of the girl group Sistar, went into her solo career as Soyou will be remaking an old song in the 80's "The Blue Night of Jeju island". An original Choi Sung Won song in 1988, "The Blue Night of Jeju Island" has been a favorite remake song by South Korean singers like Sung Si Kyung, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, and Yurisangja. Soyou will add this song to her songs "Push Push", "Should I Confess" and "Once More."
In a recent report from Soompi, the South Korean singer who first trained under Cube Entertainment will be releasing a remake of the song "The Blue Night of Jeju Island" on September 7. After her career as a member of the disbanded girl group Sistar of Starship Entertainment, Soyou began to make a solo career and since then developed her individual social media account. On her personal twitter account, she updated her fans with a beautiful photo of Jeju Island in South Korea and captioned it with Korean characters and "Coming Soon" #Jeju.
Soyou is now busy promoting her solo career with two new tracks including producer Primary's title track "Right?" and this recently announced "The Blue Night of Jeju Island", allkpop reports. Primary's new mini album which included the feature track of Soyou's "Right" was released on August 30. It is a good thing though that Soyou decided to re-sign a contract with Starship Entertainment regardless of what happened to Sistar.
Watch out for the breathtaking rendition of Soyou as she sings about taking a leave from the hustle and bustle of city life. "The Blue Night of Jeju Island" is a serene song that invites its listener to feel the sea and the quiet nights that only Jeju Island can give. It is definitely a song that will give fresh memories to people who love nature and can relate to the place it describes.
