Series star Stephen Amell has hinted that Black Siren (Katie Cassidy), the evil doppelgänger of Laurel Lance, survived the fiery trap and will be back for “Arrow” Season 6. He also teased how the dynamics of the show will change now that Laurel is dead or at least, that’s what Star City citizens know.
Amell said that if the evil version of Laurel continues in “Arrow” Season 6, the whole of Star City might realize soon that she is not dead and will believe that she actually has gone rogue. Cinema Blend reports that this might be the way for the show to introduce the multiverse concept even if it is trying to avoid being caught up with too much science fiction complications.
Speaking at a recent Q&A at the Heroes & Villains FanFest in New Jersey, Amell dropped a few hints of what fans can expect in “Arrow” Season 6. Even with everything that happened in last season’s finale, Oliver Queen won’t be wallowing in depression. The opposite, in fact, will happen as he will be seen smiling more in the new season. Oliver will also be playing the full-time father role to his son William.
Another surprise that Amell dropped was that the Eternal Archer will be donning a new suit in “Arrow” Season 6 reports Screen Rant. The actor said, “You will see a new Arrow suit this year … It’s a strange thing. Oliver actually this season is a very contented individual … At least so far.” However, Amell further teased that Oliver smiling more will probably later change.
At least for the first three “Arrow” Season 6 episodes, Amell says that his character will be smiling more. In the same event, he good-naturedly refused to do the new season’s opening voiceover. Amell revealed that it contained a spoiler but hinted that he will be using new gadget arrows for the scheduled annual Arrowverse crossover.
Meanwhile, it appears that another character aside from Laurel will be coming back in “Arrow” Season 6. Colton Haynes teased fans on Twitter that his character Roy aka Arsenal will be back in he series very soon. But, the actor did not give more details on his character’s return.
