Phish Make Their 'Fallon' Debut, Perform 'Waiting All Night' And 'Fuego' [WATCH]

Fresh off their 57-song, three-night stint on Randall's Island, Phish stuck around New York City to play a few songs on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with an abbreviated performance of "Waiting All Night" and a web-only, 10-minute rendition of "Fuego," the title track of their latest album.

Last night's performances mark the band's second late night appearance in support of Fuego. They previously delivered a full set for the Live on Letterman webcast series and also played a song on Letterman proper.

This isn't the group's first time performing on one of Fallon's shows. Back in 2010, they performed a cover of "Loving Cup" on Late Night for Rolling Stones Week, and in 2002 they performed "Contact" on Saturday Night Live, when Fallon was still a cast member.

According to JamBands.com, the taping including some banter between Fallon, Phish, and the audience. At one point, an audience member shouted "Cheesecake," which Fallon figured was a Phish song. He then asked the crowd to refrain from making song requests. Trey Anastasio, however, said "we always take requests, as long as it's 'Icculus.'"

Phish fans who tuned into The Tonight Show performance took to social media to voice one issue in particular with the set. They were confused as to why Jon Fishman was wearing a white t-shirt instead of the famed donut muumuu.
