Check Out Lil Peep's Posthumous 'Save That Sh*t' Music Video

Lil Peep's management has released the music video for "Save That Sh*t" taken from his album Come Over When You're Sober, Part.1. The video completes the rapper's music legacy, which was cut short by his untimely death.

"In loving memory of my son Gus," reads the message from Lil Peep's mother Liza Womack, which opens the video. The Mezzy and Heavy Rayn-directed music video reminisces on the emo-rapper's life on the road and his stage performances. It shows Lil Peep, born Gustav Elijah Åhr, on stage performing the song for his fans. The video is also interspersed with scenes of the rapper texting an unnamed woman, who goes about her day while waiting for Lil Peep to reply to her text messages.

"Do you wanna glo? Baby, we could glo," Lil Peep finally responds to the woman's text with lyrics from "Save That Sh*t."

The posthumous music video from videographer Wiggy is a bittersweet recollection of the rapper's happy times. There are close-up scenes of Lil Peep smiling and laughing for the camera. It also shows him interacting with his fans. It belies any possible notion that he was unhappy and uncontended with his busy life as a hip-hop artist. The video also helps his family, friends, and fans get over his sudden death.

Lil Peep died on Nov. 15 due to an accidental overdose of the painkiller Fentanyl and Xanax. He died while on tour and during a pit stop in Tucson, Arizona. The coroner's findings revealed he also had traces of other illegal drugs in his system, including cocaine and marijuana. The infamous opioid medicine Tramadol was also in his blood.

Lil Peep was only 21 years old and at the peak of his musical career when he died. Months before he was found dead on the bus, he released his album Come Over When You're Sober, Part.1. in August. He also had a solid following. He was a known member of the new subgenre of hip-hop/emo known as GothBoiClique, which was cofounded by the ex-Tiger Jaw singer Wicca Phase aka Adam McIlwee. He was dubbed as the next Kurt Cobain.

Prior to his death, Lil Peep had over 100 million streams of his songs "The Brightside" and "Awful Things" on YouTube. As of this writing, it has earned 16 million and 44 million views, respectively. Meanwhile, his music video for "Save That Sh*t" now has over 171, 000 views at World Star Hiphop in YouTube.
