Coachella 2018: Beyoncé, Eminem, The Weeknd Headline This Year’s Biggest Music Festival

Artists slated to perform at this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have been announced, including headliners Eminem, The Weeknd, and Queen Bey herself.

Beyoncé was actually scheduled to appear at last year's festival but had to postpone, given her advanced state of pregnancy at the time of the set in April 2017. Performing would have been risky, so, she promised to return next year. Lady Gaga swooped in and took the Lemonade singer's spot.

In addition to Beyoncé, the full lineup also includes SZA, St. Vincent, and The War on Drugs, artists whose latest albums are included in our list of best albums released in 2017. Plus, there's Tyler the Creator, Fleet Foxes, Big Thief, Nothing But Thieves, Michael Mayer, Sir Sly, HAIM, Angel Olsen, Alvvays, Kelela, Jessie Ware, Miguel, Daniel Caesar, Perfume Genius' former Talking Heads singer David Byrne, and a ton others.

Expect Beyoncé to deliver a showstopping performance for sure. Eminem's appearance is also notable considering the rapper, whose latest Revival album was just released, rarely performs live anymore. One can only imagine how awesome this year's Coachella would be.

The lineup also boasts a strong roster of artists working or are involved in electronic music, with Jarre, Alison Wonderland, Illenium, and others leading the bill. However, fans of alternative music aren't to be left out, thanks to acts like Vance Joy, First Aid Kit, Bleachers, and more in the mix. As is always the case with Coachella, there's something in the festival for everybody, whether you listen to folk or hip-hop.

Coachella has perhaps become the most sought-after outdoor music event since its inception in 1999, and it was recently hailed as the top festival of the year by Billboard. Last year's show raked in a whopping $114 million, the first time a recurring music festival has ever surpassed the $100 million mark.

The 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place on April 13 to 15, then on 20-22 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California — the same as last year's festival. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Jan 5. General admission passes are $429, while the Festival Pass and Shuttle Combo are $504. VIP passes are $999 a pop.
