The three 20-somethings who were arrested last month for throwing beer bottles and flipping off security guards at Taylor Swift's Rhode Island mansion pled not guilty in court yesterday. It turns out that they aren't your average disorderly slackers - they are two seriously educated and heroes!

The notorious three consists of:

Tristan Kading - A 28-year-old Master of Science in Chemical Oceanography from MIT. Tristan is also a math whiz. He received the Richard Montgomery Award for Achievement in Mathematics.

Emily Kading - A 26-year-old Nuclear Scientist specializing in agriculture and natural resources who is studying to be a nuclear physicist.

Michael Horrigan - A 29-year-old hero. Last May, Michael and Tristan were working on a cross-Sound ferry called the John H. on the Long Island Sound. The ferry was notified by the coast guard to be on the lookout for a young girl (age 12) and her dog in a canoe who were in trouble. They spotted her but as they got closer, the canoe capsized. "We got our man overboard gear ready," said ferry Captain Brent Reed. "We approached her, and the crew members threw her a life ring." Horrigan and Kading, as well as the crews from the John H. and the Coast Guard received commendations for their quick thinking and bravery.

One would think that with that many IQ and bravery points, the three friends would have known better than to behave like that. The incident just proves that book smart doesn't always match up with common sense!
