Last night (July 17), Conan on TBS got more than a little "Tacky," courtesy of funnyman Weird Al Yankovic. The Mandatory Fun singer recreated his colorful, celebrity-filled single shot music video for his new Pharrell Williams parody using the baskstage set of the late night talk show.
Rocking out in a "Tacky" lime green T-shirt, floral print suit jacket and Picasso-esque blue and green pants, Yankovic was dressed as the epitome of gaudy - though his long, curly head of hair was looking as glorious as ever.
Starting in the makeup chair, Yankovic wandered around the set and backstage area of Conan's Los Angeles stage, passing by mirrors, rafters, lights and more than a few confused staff members on set. All the while, a camera moved in front of the parody artist, following him around and giving off the same visual, one-shot effect of his recent "Tacky" music video.
There's no Kristen Schall, Jack Black or Aisha Tyler, but the effect is just as hilarious as ever. It is Weird Al, after all.

"Tacky" is the lead single from Yankovic's most 14th studio album Mandatory Fun, which was released on Tuesday, July 15.
His take on Pharrell's "Happy" is just one of several spot-on parodies on the album. Other recently released songs include a Lorde parody "Foil," a take on Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" entitled "Word Crimes" and a crafty parody of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," fittingly titled "Handy."
