Troye Sivan Wants To Collaborate With 'Iconic' Kpop Group BTS

Add Troye Sivan to the growing list of BTS' celebrity fans. The 22-year-old revealed that he would like to work with the Korean super group.

Ever since the seven-member boy group broke into the international music scene, artists from every genre have been lining up to work with them. More recently, renowned music producer Steve Aoki remixed the group's hit single "MIC Drop" which entered the Top 40 Billboard Hot 100, a first for any Korean pop group.

Troye Sivan: Kpop Fan

And Sivan is a fan. The "My, My, My!" singer was asked in a recent interview if, given the chance, he would want to collaborate with BTS. The young star said that he would definitely be interested.

"I fell way down watching all their music videos," Sivan admitted. "They've been so nice to me since day one, so I just want to meet them and say thank you. It's a world I've yet to fully delve into and understand, so I'm just completely curious about the whole thing."

He also mentioned that one thing he likes about the Kpop group is their music videos and the grand dance routines that no one else in pop seems to be doing right now.

"I mean, they're insane singers and dancers," he shared. "Their music videos are so inspiring to watch because I don't know if anyone in pop is making videos on that scale anymore with the big dance routines. It just feels really iconic."

While he will be happy to work with BTS, he added that he is not quite sure how to make it happen. He asked how does one get in contact with international pop superstars?

With his admission, there might be a chance that a collaboration between the two artists could happen soon. BTS has mentioned the Australian singer a few times during interviews and has said that they would want to work with him. Rap Monster and Jungkook even covered Sivan's song "Fools" at one point.

Backstreet Boys X BTS

The 90s boy band the Backstreet Boys also revealed recently that they are fans of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Recently, the "I Want It That Way" singers extended an invitation to the Kpop group to perform in Las Vegas where the boy band has taken residency.

Carter said that it was Aoki, who will also collaborate with the Backstreet Boys, introduced the boy group to the music of BTS.
