Michael Jackson had one. Tupac has had one. And now, Keith Urban is getting a hologram?
That's right! Urban wasn't able to spend as much time as he'd like with his fans in Australia so the country star is extending his stay with some help from technology.
Country Weekly points out that while holograms are generally reserved for deceased artists, this is one of the first times that a living country artist has gotten involved with the projected 2D technology.
"I like the whole idea of that and what can be done with that," Urban told ABC News Radio backstage after his performance on ABC's Good Morning America last week.
The site reports that the hologram is set to travel to various cities over the next few weeks.
While the hologram serves as a virtual replacement for some, Urban is currently in the midst of his "Raise 'Em Up Tour."
