Yung Berg seemingly dropped off the face of the Earth after the release of his 2008 hit "The Business" but he's been quietly making moves behind the scenes.
According to Vibe magazine, he's been making quite the name for himself as a producer.
The Grammy-nominated beatsmith/songwriter has already worked with the likes of Lil' Wayne, Jason Derulo and Tamar Braxton, and now he's adding Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Puff Daddy to his list of clientele.
During a recent interview with Rap-Up, Berg opened up about the projects he is currently working on.
"The Pink Print is the female Blueprint. Like Jay Z put out The Blueprint, I think this Pink Print really personifies that," he said. "And not only that, I'm really involved in it, and Nicki Minaj is like one of the best people. One of my best friends in the music industry right now period."
He went on to say the album is a great representation of who Nicki is.
"I think she gave you guys a really great example with 'Pills N Potions,'" Berg said. "It has rap in it, it has singing, but at the same token, it's really just more about Nicki being Nicki. I really feel like she's coming from the heart with this joint."
Berg also mentioned that he penned a song called "All Night" for Rihanna, which was produced by Nic Nac (Chris Brown's "Loyal").
"Me and Nic Nac went in," he said. "It's about being down all night."
The Chicago hitmaker has been in the studio A&Ring Puff Daddy's upcoming album Money Making Mitch as well.
"I'm really excited about A&Ring this Money Making Mitch project with Puff. I just left Miami, I stayed down there for a week, and it was just amazing to see how excited about music he is."
