Rihanna's ANTI album just made a new chart record. The album was revealed to have the most number 1 tracks in Dance Club Songs in chart history.
ANTI also surpassed Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. One of the songs in the ANTI album, "Consideration," also made history after it landed at the top of the chart for nine weeks straight.
Rihanna's album was released in 2016. The compilation received five Grammy nominations as well as three American Music Awards, including Favorite Album. Some of the songs featured in ANTI are "James Joint," "Kiss It Better," "Desperado," "Yeah, I Said It," "Love On The Brain," "Close To You," "Higher," and more.
Rihanna Is Proud Of Her Album
The award-winning singer started working on ANTI in 2014, but she only released it two years later. On the first anniversary of the album in 2017, Rihanna shared a series of throwback photos to celebrate the success of the album.
"Looking back to 1 year ago... I released my most anticipated album to date #ANTi... When I started making this album I never would have imagined how much of a challenge the process would be. I had no idea how it would be received, neither was that something I considered. I just wanted to make a body of work that felt right!" wrote Rihanna.
In her lengthy caption, Rihanna also thanked her fans for all their love and support. She also said that she is grateful to them for waiting patiently for her album.
"And to every single person that was a part of the process from sound to aesthetic, thank you and I cherish you! May the Glory be to God," wrote Rihanna.
Ninth Studio Album Teased
Rihanna has not released a new album yet after ANTI, but the singer is already working on her ninth studio album. The 29-year-old singer called the upcoming project R9, but it is still unclear whether or not this will be the official title of the album.
There is also no official release date for R9. There are speculations that it will be available sometime this year or in 2019. The track list for R9 is also being kept under wraps, but there was a previous report that claimed two of the songs will be called "Phatty" and "Only One Who Knows."
