Bobby Shmurda is sitting on top of the world right now.
Following the announcement of his deal with Epic Records, Revolt TV caught up with the 20-year-old emcee.
The young rapper told the network his success caught him by surprise.
"Where I'm from they don't usually get chances like this, ya know," he said. "I just started and it got crazy. I'm just beginning, this is just the beginning."
During the interview, Shmurda also mentioned that he has already linked up with Yo Gotti in the studio, along with French Montana and others.
"I didn't really know this could happen," Shmurda told Revolt. "Ima give them what they want. I was just being myself on it. If being myself got that, Ima do it all day."
As previously reported, Shmurda first created a buzz for himself back in March when his visual for the track "Hot N***a" hit YouTube.
Since its release, the Brooklyn newbie has been cosigned by just about everyone from Beyonce and Jay Z to Raekwon and Meek Mill.
DJ Drama also lent his two cents on Shmurda saying, "He reminds me of Chicago-ness. It's kinda wild watching New York artists who have aspects of other rappers from other places. It just shows you how the game comes full circle."
Epic Records executive Sha Money XL broke the news of his signing on his social media accounts saying, "Deal is done @bobby_shmurda #EPIC no one does the underdogs better then me. Brooklyn this 1 is for you."
The label exec even shared a video of the excited teen dancing on the conference room table.
XXL reports that Shmurda's "Hot N***a (Remix)" is slated to drop in the coming days and will feature French Montana.
Khloe Kardashian's beau posted an Instavideo of his verse to the social network a few days ago.
