Dr. Dre Joins Anderson .Paak Onstage In Free Show In London

Anderson .Paak has performed at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. During his free show for Apple Music and Beats, the rapper called Dr. Dre to the stage.

Dr. Dre performed two of his hit songs, "Still D.R.E." and "The Next Episode" alongside .Paak on Tuesday night. The latter recently revealed that he is working on a solo album with the help of Dr. Dre. The compilation will serve as a follow up to his 2016 album Malibu.

"[Dre] had a heavy role in this new album that's almost done. I won't say any dates, but you can definitely expect it this year sometime,".Paak said.

In 2016, the rapper also said that if Dre asked to collaborate with him years ago, he would not have said yes.

"I thought things would just fall into my lap. So I'd put my career in the hands of just anybody. And before I knew it I was in my late 20s, and things just weren't sticking,".Paak said.

.Paak, 32, also made headlines recently after he released his new song "Till It's Over." The track appeared in an Apple commercial that also starred FKA Twigs. The other songs in his upcoming album have not yet been teased.

Anderson .Paak Career

.Paak is an American rapper, songwriter, drummer, singer, and record producer. In 2012, the rapper dropped his first solo album O.B.E. Vol. 1. The compilation received a Grammy nomination in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category.

In 2013, .Paak produced and recorded Cover Art, an all-covers EP. The album transformed folk and rock classics from white musicians into a mix of jazz, soul, hip-hop, and R&B. Cover Art was released by Hellfyre Club and OBE.

A year later, .Paak produced George Watsky's All You Can Do. He is also featured in three of Watsky's tracks from the compilation. In the same year, .Paak released his album Venice under his new stage name.

In 2015, he performed on six songs from Dr. Dre's Compton album and he also sang songs from The Game's The Documentary 2. Some of his other albums include Yes Lawd! and LOVEJOY.
