Billy Corgan Takes Stab At ‘Mob’ Attacking Him

Billy Corgan opens up about being attacked by the "mob." His statement comes just days after D'Arcy Wretzky slammed him during an interview.

On his Instagram account, Corgan also shared a photo of his wrist tattoo. In his lengthy post, the Smashing Pumpkins guitarist explained what he meant by the three letter word.

"The most dangerous things in this world are a free mind, a free heart, and free will. Society, or culture (which aren't always the same, mind you) defines itself through a collective consensus. But far too often throughout history the psychopathic leanings of the mob have been dead wrong," wrote Corgan.

The guitarist went on to say that the mob typically uses itself to justify an ill-logic, and it also hates what it cannot control.

In his conclusion, Corgan clarified that his post was not meant as a complaint. After all, his heart is free. He also wished all of his fans the best and that God will bless them in finding their own rainbows.

D'Arcy Wretzky Throws Shade At Billy Corgan

Earlier this month, Wretzky slammed Corgan and said that he cannot sing. The feud between Corgan and Wretzky started after the former bass guitarist said that she was previously invited to join the Smashing Pumpkins reunion tour.

However, Wretzky claimed that Corgan changed his mind at the last minute. Corgan, on the other hand, said that it was Wretzky who refused to participate in the reunion tour.

Wretzky also said that Corgan kept complaining to her and James Iha about his physical appearance. The 51-year-old musician thought that his bandmates looked so much better than him. Wretzky said that because Corgan thinks he is ugly, he tends to surround himself with beautiful people.

The bassist also said that because Corgan cannot sing, he expects the other members of the band to play really well and make up for it. Wretzky added that Corgan would typically get mad if any one of them plays the wrong note. She said that this proves that Corgan has insecurities.

As of late, Corgan has not directly responded to Wretzky's shade.

Smashing Pumpkins is an American alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois that was formed in 1998 by Corgan and Iha. Some of the group's most popular songs are "Disarm," "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," "Tonight, Tonight," "Mayonaise," "The Everlasting Gaze," "Zero," and more.
