Krist Novoselic, the bassist of Nirvana, names the two musicians he wants to collaborate with on a potential project. He says that he likes to work with Chuck D and John Densmore.
During a recent interview, Novoselic said that he knows Densmore, and Chuck D is also one of his heroes.
"Chuck D is great, Public Enemy. We should put a band together right there, because I'll be on bass, we'll have John on drums, and Chuck will rap. No, seriously," said Novoselic.
Who Is Krist Novoselic?
Novoselic is an American rock musician who also goes by the name Chris. He played bass for Nirvana until after the group disbanded in 1994 following Kurt Cobain's demise. Novoselic formed Sweet 75 a year later. In 2002, he formed Eyes Adrift.
From 2006 to 2009, he played in the punk band Flipper, and he also contributed bass and accordion to "I Should Have Known." The track was originally recorded by the Foo Fighters for its album Wasting Light.
Nirvana Bassist Talks About Martin Shkreli
Other than talking about Chuck D and Densmore, Novoselic also weighed in on the Martin Shkreli saga. Dubbed as "Pharma Bro" and "the most hated man in America," Shkreli was sentenced to seven years in prison for fraud.
"In the end, in spite of himself, Shkreli proved that as a culture we don't care about the details, we're transfixed by spectacle, and that we don't want to fix our problems. You really hate Martin? How about trying to actually accomplish real change. Our healthcare system is ripping us off, but too many are enchanted or obsessed with Trump," said Novoselic.
