'Avengers: Infinity War' Directors Urge Fans To Stop Spoiling The Film For Others

Avengers: Infinity War continues to be one of the most talked-about upcoming movies of 2018, and the directors want to maintain the film's secrecy.

Recruiting The Fans

Because of the buzz surrounding the film, Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have released a letter pleading both media professionals and fans to keep spoilers away from social media. They used the film's villain Thanos' (Josh Brolin) Infinity Gauntlet as a backdrop as the directors showcased their letter.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the Russo siblings said that they are about to start the press tour for the third chapter in the Avengers film franchise. While the brothers are on tour, fans would only see a limited amount of footage from the highly-anticipated film. Also, the duo mentioned how only a selective few know Avengers: Infinity War's real story. However, the directors gave a curve ball to the fans.

"We're asking that when you see Infinity War, in the coming months, that you maintain that same level of secrecy so that all fans can have an equal experience when they watch it for the first time. Don't spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn't want it to be spoiled for you," said the Russos in a statement that was transcribed by Entertainment Weekly.

Tom Holland's Response

One significant member of the Avengers: Infinity War family that openly responded to the letter was Tom Holland. According to ComicBook.com, the Spider-Man actor jokingly stated that the Russos' statement was directed towards him. The pop culture website stated that Holland made that comment on social media when it was revealed that according to some of his Spider-Man: Homecoming co-stars, he blabbed a lot of the film's crucial scenes.

'Black Panther' Success

As Avengers: Infinity War begins its media tour, Black Panther just wrapped up a revolutionary run at the box office and on the music charts. The Kendrick Lamar-produced album debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. From when the album was first released on Feb. 9 until Feb. 15, Black Panther: The Album had earned over 154,000 units. Some of the singles on the album are "King's Dead" featuring Lamar, Jay Rock, and Future, plus "All The Stars," a collaboration between Lamar and SZA.

Calling 'Captain Marvel'

On Jan. 25, Twitter caught up with Brie Larson, who was wearing a costume from her upcoming superhero film, Captain Marvel. Insiders have reported that production had begun in California this past January. The film is expected to be released sometime in 2019.
