Carrie Underwood Shows Full Face In New Photo For The First Time Since Her Accident

Carrie Underwood is done with hiding her scars. The "Two Black Cadillacs" performer has revealed her full face on social media.

Reuniting With Her Band

Underwood posted an image on Instagram that her fans have been waiting to see. On Friday, April 6, the American Idol champion posted a full photo of her face. People Magazine reported that Underwood was performing with her band as they were rehearsing for a particular performance. The entertainment news outlet hypothesized that Underwood might make her comeback during April 15's the Academy of Country Music Awards. Underwood has been nominated for two of the award show's top awards, Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for "The Fighter," a duet with former American Idol judge Keith Urban.

Social Media Love

Underwood's social media post received a lot of love from her fans. Many of her 7 million Instagram fans left a variety of feedback on the singer's comment section. Supporters stated how much they were excited to see her perform once again, and others wanted to let her know that they accept her no matter what she looks like. Meanwhile, some of Underwood's fans wanted to see if she was going back on tour or if she was releasing new music.

Supporting Her Sisters

Her band rehearsal photo comes hours after Underwood took to social media to showcase support for her sisters. The two sisters were among the hundreds of teachers that were protesting in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma teachers hoped that their protest could convince members of the state's legislative branch to increase statewide funds for public education.

The First Face Photo

The "Inside Your Heaven" singer's latest photo comes two days after she released a photo that showcased half of her face. On Wednesday, Underwood posted a candid black and white photo that featured her hair in a bun while she was wearing a ripped hoodie sweatshirt. If fans looked closely, the singer had a serious look on her face. Many of Underwood's fans speculated that she was creating new music for a potential studio album.

'Killer' Hair Day

When Underwood celebrated her birthday on March 10, her husband, Mike Fisher, posted a cute throwback photo onto his social media pages. The photo showcased Underwood performing Heart's "Alone" during her time on American Idol. While Fisher gently jabbed his wife for her 'killer hair,' he thanked her for being a fantastic role model for him and a being an incredible mom to their son, Isaiah Michael Fisher.

Remembering The Accident

In November 2017, Underwood suffered from a hard fall after she fell on some steps outside her home. A representative for the "Dirty Laundry" performer stated that while Underwood did not suffer from any life-threatening injuries, she had a broken wrist and a few cuts. Eventually, Underwood revealed that she needed to have more than 40 stitches on her face.
