The whole world is gearing up for the anticipated royal wedding of Prince Harry of Great Britain to actress Meghan Markle.
A Wedding To Remember
The event, which will take place on May 19, will have a live broadcast on television and radio. Interestingly, Decca is offering to release the recording a few hours after the ceremony takes place in St. George's Chapel.
The wedding of the year will include performances from the Choir of St. George's Chapel, the Kingdom Choir, Elin Manahan Thomas, and Sheku Kanneh, Mason.
"Capturing the words and music of this Royal Wedding is a great responsibility, knowing how much a permanent record of the event will mean to so many people around the world," said Anna Barry, the producer of the upcoming recording.
"Our Decca team will deliver a state of the art recording which captures every nuance of this very happy day and it will be a joy to be a part of the celebrations."
The audio of the royal wedding will be available for streaming on the online music platforms Spotify and Apple Music. The recording will be available for sale on DC and vinyl starting May 25 from major retail stores.
Where To Watch The Royal Wedding
The big event is happening in less than a month and local television networks have already started making the preparation for their respective coverage of the royal wedding.
In the United States, the Today show on NBC will cover the event on May 19. Commentary will begin at 4:30 a.m. with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, Town and Country reported.
CBS will also begin the coverage at 4 a.m. with Tina Brown, Gayle King, and Kevin Frazier while PBS will hold a live broadcast of the event.
Millions of people around the world are expected to tune in and watch the royal wedding ceremony from various platforms. When Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in 2011, 23 million watched the event in the United States.
On May 19, more than 100,000 are anticipated to turn up in the Windsor region, West of London, to see the royal couple. About 600 guests, some of whom are A-list celebrities and members of the royal family, are invited to witness the ceremony.
Another 200 guests including the 90s girl group Spice Girls, tennis star Serena Williams, supermodel Cara Delevingne, singer James Blunt, fashion designer Misha Nonoo, and Suits star Patrick J. Adams have been invited to the reception. Ed Sheeran is one of the artists rumored to perform at the royal wedding.
