Forbes and viagogo, the world's larger ticket marketplace, have released a Top 10 of the music festivals worldwide that have the biggest demand for admission. Tomorrowland, the Belgian electronic music festival that just wrapped up its tenth edition, came out on top after selling out both of its weekends. Check out the Top 10 below:
01) Tomorrowland (Belgium)
02) Stereosonic (Australia)
03) Coachella (United States)
04) Electric Daisy Carnival (United States)
05) Isle of Wight Festival (UK)
06) Benicassim (Spain)
07) Pinkpop 2014 (Netherlands)
08) V Festival (UK)
09) Ultra Music Festival 2014 (United States)
10) Wireless (UK)
It'd be easy to look at the top of the list and assume that EDM festivals were in high demand everywhere, but Tomorrowland just has an especially impressive draw thanks to its impressive lineups and elaborate stages. The other two EDM festivals on the list are both American (Electric Daisy and Ultra), but the rest are more traditionally rock-oriented festivals. Viagogo reports however that nearly every festival on its list has seen an increase in demand for tickets from 2013.
Viagogo has been tracking numbers for how many fans visit the site yearly seeking tickets to respective events. Tomorrowland had impressive demand enough as a one-weekend gig, but even with the newly added second weekend, ticket demand has still risen by 317 percent.
In fact, if you still want a ticket to the upcoming weekend of Tomorrowland, you can find it at viagogo. Of course you'll also have to drop at least $428 per day. Good luck getting tickets next year!
