Blake Shelton slams critics who misinterpreted his cryptic tweet about karma. They thought that the singer's post was about his ex-wife Miranda Lambert.
During a recent interview alongside Kelly Clarkson, Shelton said that he is amused by all of the interpretations he has read about his tweet. He also said that his post was intended to be cryptic so people should not be able to interpret it as it is.
"But I can tell you it's been, actually, very entertaining to watch the world run with it and assume what they think it's about," said Shelton.
When asked to explain the meaning behind his tweet, Shelton simply said that people are way off the mark with their speculations. However, he is not really bothered about them anymore.
Last week, The Voice coach tweeted about taking the high road for quite some time that he almost gave up. However, he said that he recently saw something on the horizon, and he thinks it is karma.
Blake Shelton's Tweet Is Personal
During another interview earlier this week, Shelton said that his tweet was a personal thing that only his select group of friends could understand.
"And that's why it was written the way it was, and then people took it and make it into what they want to make it into, which I don't want any part of that," said Shelton.
Miranda Lambert's Boyfriend
The country singer's post also came just a day after it was reported that Lambert is dating Evan Felker. He filed for divorce from his wife, Staci Felker, just two weeks after meeting "The House That Built Me" singer.
Shelton and Lambert announced their divorce in 2015 after four years of marriage. The Voice coach is currently dating his former NBC co-star Gwen Stefani.
Evan Felker, Jeff Allen Slam Blake Shelton
Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding Lambert and Shelton had heightened after Felker sang Carrie Underwood's hit song "Before He Cheats." He uploaded a video on his Instagram Story and added the line "I hope he does." Fans were convinced that Felker was throwing shade at Shelton at the time.
Lambert's ex-boyfriend, Jeff Allen, also condemned Shelton after the latter posted his cryptic tweet last week. Allen said that he was aware Lambert was cheating on him with Shelton years ago.
"I kept my mouth shut for 13 years. Sorry, his karma tweet rubbed me wrong. All of this is pointless," wrote Allen.
