Scott Hutchinson dies at the age of 36. The guitarist for Frightened Rabbit was reported missing late Tuesday night in Scotland.
A few days later, police officers discovered the body of a man in the Port Edgar marina between the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing. They later confirmed that it was Hutchinson's body.
Scott Hutchinson's Family's Statement
Following his death, the musician's family released a statement expressing their devastation over the news of his demise.
"As a family, we are utterly devastated with the tragic loss of our beloved Scott. Despite his disappearance, and the recent concerns over his mental health, we had all remained positive and hopeful that he would walk back through the door, having taken some time away to compose himself," read the statement.
His family went on to say how good and kind Hutchinson was to all of them. He was also a great person to be around in general. Despite his busy schedule, the guitarist always made it a point to spend time with the people he loved most.

Prior to his disappearance, Hutchinson posted a cryptic tweet about hugging his loved ones and being away from them.
"Be so good to everyone you love. It's not a given. I'm so annoyed that it's not. I didn't live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones. I'm away now. Thanks," wrote Hutchinson.
Hours after he had disappeared, Hutchinson's brothers told Radio X that they were distraught over what happened to their sibling. They also revealed that the guitarist has been battling depression for quite some time.
Frightened Rabbit also released a statement following Hutchinson's death. The members of the group said that they cannot describe the words that they feel over their bandmate's passing. However, they are also glad that the guitarist is no longer suffering.

Hutchinson was a Scottish singer, songwriter, guitarist, and artist. He was the founding member of the indie rock band Frightened Rabbit.
