ABC has already started the search for the next American Idol a month after the first season of the rebooted singing competition announced a winner.
How And Where To Audition
On Wednesday, June 6, the network unveiled the full list of cities where auditions will be held. A total of 22 dates and venues have been announced.
Singer hopefuls who cannot make an in-person audition can still join the competition by simply uploading samples on the official website of American Idol, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Musical.ly. Make sure to use the hashtag #TheNextIdol in order to allow the crew to find entries.
Fans must be at least 15 years old to audition to the televised singing competition, according to ABC.

ABC ordered the second season of the hit singing competition back in May. Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie will all return as judges with Ryan Seacrest as host.
"We knew that American Idol on ABC would unleash an opportunity for singers from all walks of life to realize their dreams and that these incredible contestants would have America rooting for their success," stated Channing Dungey of ABC Entertainment.
The reality television announced its newest champion, Maddie Pope, a 20-year-old singer from Iowa, last May. Overall, she is the 16th winner of the singing competition.
Maddie Poppe's Life After 'Idol'
Following her win, Poppe performed at a "for your consideration" Emmy event to promote shows by ABC including The Good Doctor, The Goldbergs, and Black-ish. She sang "Going Going Gone," the single that won her the title of American Idol.
She is also in the process of filming a music video for the track. On Instagram, she shared photos of herself with her friends during the shoot.
On the caption, she revealed that her girl squad will also make appearances on her first solo single.
That moment when your "casted friends" become your real friends.. * Had such an awesome time shooting "Going Going Gone" for the past two days with these chicks! It's definitely been the most fun two days I've had since the finale & these three definitely played a part in that. Happy to meet such nice people who make being away from home a little easier. MORE BTS PHOTOS TO COME!

In a previous interview, Poppe talked about what fans can expect from her now that the competition is over. The young singer is expected to release her debut album and she promised fans that they will hear her authentic voice in her upcoming new music.
"I want to stick with doing the vein I stuck with on the show," she told TV Line. "I didn't realize how far that would take me in the competition, but now I realize that's enough. I really want to keep being true to what I want to do. I don't want to get caught up in the other things that sometimes come from being in the music industry."
