WATCH: 8-Year-Old Drummer Slays With Led Zeppelin ‘Good Times Bad Times’ Cover

An 8-year-old drummer from Japan is going viral for her epic cover of the Led Zeppelin classic "Good Times Bad Times."

Yoyoka Soma, a young prodigy and future rockstar, is showing off her mastery of the drums for the 2018 Hit Like a Girl, a contest for female drummers around the world.

Young Drummer Covers Led Zeppelin

According to the Metal Sucks, Yoyoka has been playing the drums since she was 2 years old and has been performing in front of the public since she was 4 years old. As the drummer of her family's band, Kaneaiyoyoka, she has played the drums on over 100 stages and counting!

Unfortunately, Yoyoka did not place into the Top 3 of the drum contest. Yuki Ogawa, a 13-year-old rock star, who is also from Japan, was able to clinch the first place with her rendition of a Japanese track "Unebi Mizuyama."

However, the 8-year-old has won over the hearts of many. Her accuracy and laid-back approach to playing rivals John Bonham, the respected drummer for Led Zeppelin.

Yoyoka also counts the late English rock star as one of her major influences and covering "Good Times Bad Times" was not a coincidence.

"As a drummer, I enjoy being groove, tones and try to support vocalists carefully," she stated. "My dream is to be the best drummer in the world. In addition, I want to be an artist who can do anything: playing all instruments, recording music, mixing the sound and designing the CD album jackets."

This likely will not be the last time that fans would hear about Yoyoka as a drummer. She revealed that one of her dreams is to break into the international scene as a musician to contend with.

To achieve fame overseas, she said she is currently studying English.

"I want to become friends with people all over the world through my musical activities," she added.

Led Zeppelin Celebrates 50 Years

Yoyoka's cover comes in time for the 50th anniversary of the world-renowned rock band.

To celebrate five decades of great music, the surviving original members of Led Zeppelin have reunited to release a book titled Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin this year. Dubbed as the "first and only official illustrated book to be produced in collaboration with the members of the band," the upcoming book will feature photographs and artwork straight out of the personal archives of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Bonham.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin will be released in October by Reel Art Press.
