Welcome Mike Stud to the 300 family.
According to MTV, Stud recently signed a distribution deal with Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles and Todd Moscowitz and their newly formed venture, 300 Entertainment.
"It's been so last minute," Stud told MTV News of his partnering with the label. "I made the whole album and [my manager] Austin Rosen went and just played the records for them. And Lyor and Kevin and Todd Moscowitz are all very heavily involved now. I think things might change very soon. I think we might do the radio thing."
Stud released his latest project, Closer, earlier this month. The album debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200.
He described his rise to stardom as a "steady build" having gained his following over the last few years by frequently dropping music online and touring.
The network's site also reports 300 was launched in 2013 and has since partnered with artists including Young Thug and Migos.
Last month, Music Times reported on Migos and Young Thug's venture with 300 Entertainment.
"Our business motto is this, if you're out there taking risks, we wanna reward you with a great deal," Liles explained. "There should be no cookie-cutter deal. There should be a smorgasbord of deals that we could do with entrepreneurs. We built a platform, similar to what we did with Roc-A-Fella, Murder Inc., Disturbing Tha Peace, Ruff Ryders, we just provided platforms for people to build companies."
Stud is looking forward to doing just that and he's got some great muscle behind him.
"It's an honor to have them be around and be supporting it," he said.
Stud is currently on a nationwide headlining tour.
