Nicki Minaj broke Twitter and got everybody all hot and bothered with the release of her "Anaconda" cover art, but she's got bad news.
According to Yahoo, Minaj now says the song's release is being delayed.
"My darlingz, I've pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4. I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu," she wrote in the caption below the photo of her rocking a pink bikini and blue sneakers with all of her workout essentials.
The song was originally slated to be released Monday (July 28).
The "Pills N Potions" rapper shared a racy new photo of herself Sunday (July 27) on Instagram along with the bad news.
Few details are known about the "Anaconda" track but it is confirmed to be the second single from Minaj's third studio album, The Pinkprint.
As previously reported, Grammy-nominated beatsmith/songwriter Yung Berg will provide production for Minaj's forthcoming album.
"The Pink Print is the female Blueprint. Like Jay-Z put out The Blueprint, I think this Pink Print really personifies that," he said. "And not only that, I'm really involved in it, and Nicki Minaj is like one of the best people. One of my best friends in the music industry right now period."
He went on to say the album is a great representation of who Nicki is.
"I think she gave you guys a really great example with 'Pills N Potions,'" Berg said. "It has rap in it, it has singing, but at the same token, it's really just more about Nicki being Nicki. I really feel like she's coming from the heart with this joint."
