Drake drops a video trailer for his new album Scorpion. The artist's latest project is scheduled for release on Friday, June 29.
The "God's Plan" singer uploaded the clip via his Instagram account. It opens with a camera being panned across the exterior of what looked like a home. Drake appears in the trailer, and he is seen driving his car on a deserted road.
In the next scene, Drake is seen inside the recording studio. He is standing behind the microphone while inside a predominantly red room. The official release date for Scorpion is shown on the screen, as well as Drake's producer.
'Scorpion' Billboards Released
Prior to releasing the video trailer for his upcoming album, Drake also teased his latest projects in his hometown of Toronto. Several billboards containing statements and clues about the music project were released last week.
Fans of Drake are convinced that his upcoming album will be released back to back. This means that two albums may be available starting this Friday. One of Drake's billboards showed "A Side and B Side."
The songs that will be included in the album are "Just Twenty Eighteen" and "I'm Upset." Other songs will be unveiled this Friday.
Kenny Burns Teases 'Scorpion'
Kenny Burns, a radio host, described Drake's forthcoming album as the project that fans have been waiting for in so long.
"If you love R&B and the rap side, this album is for you," said Burns.
Drake's Ongoing Beef With Pusha-T, Kanye West
In related news, Drake made headlines recently after Pusha-T and Kanye West's collaboration, DAYTONA, was released. The Canadian singer claimed that West asked him to write some of the songs in Pusha-T's album. More specifically, Drake said he wrote the hook for "Yikes," but was not credited for the song.
Drake also slammed West in his song "Duppy Freestyle," The artist and Pusha-T have also been feuding for the past 10 years.
