Keith Urban is outside enjoying this beautiful Fourth of July, are you? The "Till Summer Comes Around" songster sent out a tweet today making a pun and brilliant observation about the beautiful weather we are experiencing on this Fourth of July.
No 4th of July has ever burned so brightly! #TilSummerComesAround
Last year on the Fourth of July in Minnesota, my family and I were forced inside because we had a tornado warning and the fireworks never ended up getting launched. That was a lot of colorful bombs we missed out on last year, which makes this beautiful day all that much sweeter.
Keith Urban might be out enjoying the sun right now, but pretty soon he will have to get right back into working. July 18, 2013 is when his tour starts up and he will be on the road clear through December. He is all over the United States, so be sure to catch a show if he is in your area.
The Fourth of July is one of the biggest holidays in country music. Lee Greenwood's entire God Bless The USA album is packed with patriotic songs and songs about loving America. Every year my family blasts this music from a pontoon which we decorate with American flags and other red white or blue materials (Last year we used a 13 foot tall homemade cardboard cut-out of Paul Bunyan) and we make literal floats! The neighbors with us parade around the lake waving to the other families on the lake, and wish them all a happy Fourth of July.
