This year, we are facing a global pandemic - the 2019-2020 Coronavirus pandemic. This virus alone disrupts everything in its path, from a simple meet in a mall to everything business-related. The pandemic did not spare even the music industry as concerts are canceled. Still, this time could be the best time to be with family, and watching movies would be the best activity to do.

Netflix is also reviving its Party watching on Chrome for people in different places to watch together. However, the big question is, "What to watch?" Music Times has you covered. Here's a list of 5 binge-worthy movie franchises for families to watch not only while in quarantine, but anytime of the year.

1.) Toy Story

Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 97% approval rate and 94% for the audience score on its fourth installment of Disney Pixar's legendary franchise. The franchise tells the story of two toys Woody and Buzz Lightyear voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. The franchise also shows the growth of the owner, Andy, until he gave away his toy collection to a kid named Bonnie in the third installment. If you want an adventurous vibe, the second part is for you.

2.) The Indiana Jones Series

The film series is an action movie, but its adventures are worth watching for any family. George Lucas created the series, along with the more popular Star Wars. Both starred Harrison Ford, who is the titular character in the franchise and as Han Solo in Star Wars. It spanned from 1981 to 2008, and it is one of the legendary family-oriented action films of all time.

3.) Avengers

Marvel's movie series, the Avengers, is not only focused on the Avengers team itself but also gives stories of each Avenger member through separate films, like Captain America and Iron Man. The Avengers movie series is also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, meaning the movies produced are connected. The latest in the franchise is the all-time blockbuster movie Avengers: Endgame that made more than a billion dollars in 2019.

4.) Star Wars

If your family is a fan of anything that is science fiction, then Star Wars is your best bet to binge-watch. You do not need to be a geek to love the franchise, which is the brainchild of George Lucas. Start Wars became one of the icons in the science fiction genre due to its creative production. Even though it can also classify as action, there is no doubt that you can watch it with your family.

5.) Spider-Man (all versions)

If the Tobey Maguire version is dark and the Andrew Garfield version is between dark and light, the Tom Holland version is a family version of the famed Marvel superhero. Too bad... (spoiler alert!) he died in the Infinity War episode of the Avengers franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first two, however, shows the evolution of the franchise in terms of cinematic features. Spiderman was even included in the MCU in the Tom Holland version. The difference among the three is that in the first franchise, Peter Parker (Maguire) is an ordinary working student. The second version has the main character (Garfield) as a high school student and a "vigilante" while in the third version (Holland), the protagonist is part of the Avengers team defending the Earth against Thanos. He first appeared in Captain America: Civil war.
