In the press release, BTS' management label has officially announced the launch of their new video content entitled "Learn Korean With BTS." The content intends to help fans learn the basics of the Korean language by making it "easy and fun."

Big Hit Entertainment extends this initiative for their fans, dubbed "ARMY", who have "difficulty enjoying BTS' music and contents due to the language barrier."

The first three episodes of the new series will be released on March 24, 2:00PM KST (1:00AM EST). ARMYs can stream the episodes for free on Weverse, a free mobile app for fans and idols to interact, also created by Big Hit. The app is home to 3.8 million BTS fans worldwide.

Following the first episodes of "Learn Korean With BTS," a new episode will be released every Monday evening, 9:00PM KST. The Korean management label initially plans to share 30 clips for fans to enjoy.

The content of every episode will use repurposed clips from earlier BTS video contents already shared on other streaming platforms like VLive and YouTube. It includes hit contents such as "Bangtan Bomb," "Run BTS!" and "BTS Episode" web series. Their official YouTube channel boasts a staggering 26.6M, and their "Bangtan Bomb" series alone has more than 75 million views in total.

Each video will run for about three minutes and will focus on basic Korean expressions and grammar as used by Jungkook, V, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, and RM. The content will also be supported and supervised by professors and researchers at premier Korean language institutions such as the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Korea Language Contents Institute.

Big Hit's statement also includes plans to add more educational content and extend this initiative to other artists under their label. This includes K-Pop boy band Tomorrow X Together, girl group GFriend, and more.

The South Korean boyband, whose acronym translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts, is among the few acts to establish a foothold in the United States, having won in the Billboard Music Awards' Top Social Artist for three consecutive years, 2017-2019. In 2018, they also bagged the Top Duo/ Group award.

Their most recent studio album, "Map of the Soul: 7," set new global records with 4.02 million pre-orders. They surpassed their previous record of 2.68 million for "Map of the Soul: Persona." BTS is also known as the first Korean musical act to perform at the prestigious Annual Grammy Awards, performing with a long list of artists including Diplo and Lil Nas X in a special segment of the awards ceremony.

As a part of their "Map of the Soul" series, they have set dates for a worldwide concert tour. They also have a stadium tour in the United States, slated for April after the first Seoul schedules were postponed amidst growing coronavirus concerns.
